Incomplete fictional war flag for Nordeste
This flag is a test that I made for a fictional independent state of Nordeste fighting a war against Brazil. To give some context, while studying the Território de Princesa and separatism in Nordeste, I thought in formulating an alt-history scenario where some kind of organization inspired in NEI, Nordeste Independente, a peaceful separatist organization for the northeastern part of Brazil has a political, paramilitary wing and it declares independence sparking a civil war between the 4 states of Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco and Ceará and the rest of Brazil, while it tries convincing the governors and police forces of Alagoas, Sergipe and Piauí to change sides.
The project didn't go far though, because right when things started to escalate in the writing, I had to dedicate more time to school and personal matters, and I hope to re-start the project soon. As I abandoned it, the development of its flag was also abandoned, leaving it currently like this.
Here is the symbolism and meaning of each element: The beige would represent the sands of the Sertão and the coast. The four pillars, the four founding states, and at the bottom, a star. The star would be replaced by a Sun (for obvious reasons), and around it, a laurel wreath, to represent the peace after the revolution. The black line separating the red part from the beige part represents the Brazilian border, symbolizing that the border should be well-defined and existing. The proximity of the laurel and the black line means peace with the neighboring country, representing that the objective isn't to take over the entire Brazilian territory, rather just liberating Nordeste.
A lot would change on the flag, however again, as I didn't have time and had to abandon the project, it didn't go far. It may be revived soon, though.
